These Terms govern your use of the iOS app Mute (the "App"), provided by Mute ("we", "us", "our"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. What the App does

The App uses Apple's Screen Time framework to make apps you choose unavailable under conditions you set. Using it requires granting the App Screen Time access. Without that permission, blocking does not work.

2. Your account

The App issues an anonymous user ID the first time you open it. No name or email address is required. You can ask us to delete your account at any time from the Settings screen.

Deleting your account lifts every block and erases the settings on your device. Information held on our servers is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

3. Mute Pro (auto-renewing subscription)

Some features require a paid subscription, Mute Pro.

4. About Lockout

Paid plans include Lockout. A rule or session with Lockout turned on cannot be turned off, changed, or deleted from inside the App until the period you set has finished. This is not a defect; the feature is built to work this way. Please make sure you understand what you are setting before you turn it on.

Only subscribers can turn Lockout on, but once a Lockout has started applying, cancelling your subscription does not lift it. It stays until its period ends.

An emergency pass is available for situations where you genuinely need to get out. Its limits and conditions are shown in the App.
